LD Snus Portion

LD Snus is a prominent Swedish brand of snus, originally launched in 2001 by Gallaher Limited. It was born out of a desire to create a high-quality snus at a more accessible price point than traditional premium brands. The production has traditionally been centered in Vårgårda, Sweden, within an old heritage tile factory, maintaining the long-standing tradition of Swedish tobacco craftsmanship.

In 2007, the global tobacco giant Japan Tobacco International (JTI) acquired Gallaher Group, bringing LD into its extensive international portfolio. Today, JTI Sweden AB manages the brand locally, ensuring that the manufacturing remains in Sweden to preserve the authenticity and quality requirements associated with Swedish snus. JTI is headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, though its ultimate parent company is Japan Tobacco Inc. based in Tokyo.
