The brand is famous for its 'Gallo' (rooster) logo, which was originally used as a visual shorthand for quality and variety at a time when literacy was low.

Today, Riso Gallo products are primarily manufactured in Italy using high-quality rice sourced from the Po Valley, Europe's premier rice-growing region. The brand remains a family-owned enterprise, currently managed by the Preve family, who took over the business in the late 19th century. As of 2024 and looking toward 2026, Riso Gallo remains an independent company under the parent entity Riso Gallo S.p.A. It continues to expand its global footprint while maintaining its roots as an authentic Italian specialist in the agricultural sector.
