Zott is a prominent German dairy company with a history dating back to 1926 when Anna and Balthasar Reiter took over a small country dairy in Mertingen, Bavaria. Over the decades, it has evolved into a major international dairy group while remaining a family-owned business, currently managed by the fourth generation of the founding family.

Manufacturing is concentrated in Europe, with the company's main headquarters and primary production facilities located in Mertingen and Günzburg, Germany. Additionally, Zott operates a significant production site in Opole, Poland, to serve the Central and Eastern European markets. The brand is well-known for products such as Monte, Jogobella, and Zottarella, which are exported to more than 75 countries worldwide.
