Flora margarine rich in Omega 3

Flora is a well-known brand of margarine and plant-based spreads. Originally developed in the 1960s by Unilever to address consumer concerns about heart health and saturated fats, it became a pioneer in the vegetable oil spread market. The brand focuses on health-conscious formulations, often incorporating Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids while eliminating dairy and cholesterol.

In 2018, Unilever sold its global spreads business to KKR, a private equity firm, which formed Upfield to manage these assets. Since then, Upfield has aggressively positioned Flora as a major player in the plant-based and vegan food industry. While the brand has global operations, much of the production for the European market occurs in dedicated facilities like those in Katowice, Poland, though local distribution and specific regional manufacturing occur globally.
