Moskovskaya is one of the world's most recognizable vodka brands, with a history that dates back to the early 20th century in Russia. The brand name itself translates to 'Muscovite' or 'from Moscow,' reflecting its historical roots. Despite its name and Russian origins, the product is now primarily produced outside of Russia.

Today, Moskovskaya is manufactured in Latvia at the Amber Latvijas Balzams distillery, which is one of the oldest and largest beverage producers in the Baltics. The brand is under the ownership of the Amber Beverage Group, a global spirits company. This transition occurred as the brand's international rights were separated from Russian state entities many years ago, allowing for consistent global distribution and modern production standards while maintaining the traditional Russian recipe and heritage.
