Honor is a prominent consumer electronics brand originally established as a subsidiary of the Chinese telecommunications giant Huawei. Founded in 2013, the brand was initially focused on online sales and younger demographics, offering high-specification devices at competitive prices.
Due to geopolitical pressures and supply chain restrictions faced by Huawei, the brand was sold in November 2020 to Shenzhen Zhixin New Information Technology Co., Ltd., a consortium of over 30 agents and dealers, along with government-backed entities in Shenzhen. This strategic separation allowed Honor to regain access to critical technologies and software services. Today, Honor continues to manufacture most of its devices in China while maintaining a global presence as an independent entity.
