Historically, Star was founded in 1948 in Muggiò, Italy, and became a household name with its stock cubes (Dado Star). Today, the brand is part of the Spanish multinational GBFoods. To support the international rollout of the Riso Express line across markets like Italy, Spain, and Belgium, GBFoods invested in a state-of-the-art, sustainable production facility located in Ballobar, Spain. This centralization allows the group to internalize production for its various European markets while maintaining the specific brand identities, such as Saikebon in Italy.
