Unveiled in July 2025, the brand focuses on delivering adaptive, targeted agricultural solutions using a proprietary RNA technology platform. Unlike traditional genetic modification, Terrana's technology works by 'speaking the plant's language,' utilizing native-like RNA molecules to activate specific traits such as disease resistance, heat tolerance, or cold perception without altering the plant's DNA.

The company emerged after four years of development within the Flagship Pioneering ecosystem, the same innovation hub that produced Moderna.
