Vivi Kola soft drink

Vivi Kola is a historic Swiss cola brand that was first launched in 1938 by the Mineralquelle Eglisau (Mineral Spring Eglisau) in the canton of Zurich. It was created to provide a local alternative to international cola brands and famously used real kola nuts from Cameroon. For decades, it was a dominant player in the Swiss market and a prominent sponsor of the Tour de Suisse cycling race.

Production was unfortunately discontinued in 1986 due to intense competition from global giants like Coca-Cola and Pepsi. However, the brand was revived in 2010 by Christian Forrer, an Eglisau native who remembered the drink from his childhood. Today, the brand is owned and operated by ViCOLLECTIVE AG. The product continues to be manufactured in Switzerland at its original home in Eglisau, emphasizing its 'Swissness' through local production and traditional recipes.
