Founded in 1908 by Marquis Mills Converse, the brand became a global icon through its Chuck Taylor All Star sneaker, originally designed for basketball. Over a century later, it remains one of the most recognizable footwear brands in the world.

Today, Converse products are manufactured in a diverse global supply chain, with most production facilities located in Vietnam, Indonesia, China, and India. This expansive manufacturing network allows the brand to maintain high-volume production for international markets.

While the brand originated in Malden, Massachusetts, it was acquired by Nike, Inc. in 2003. Converse currently operates as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Nike, benefiting from its parent company's immense technological and distribution capabilities while maintaining its distinct cultural identity.
