Kungsörnen is one of Sweden's most iconic food brands, specializing in grain-based products like flour, pasta, and baking mixes. Founded in 1929 in the Skåne region, the brand initially gained fame for its high-quality wheat flour. Over the decades, it expanded its portfolio, notably introducing pasta production in Järna in 1959, which remains a key manufacturing site today.

The brand is deeply rooted in the Swedish agricultural tradition. It is owned by Lantmännen, a massive agricultural cooperative owned by approximately 18,000 Swedish farmers. This ownership structure ensures that the brand maintains a close connection to the land and the primary producers. Manufacturing is centered in Sweden, particularly at the pasta factory in Järna and various mills across the country, though some specialized production may occur in other Nordic facilities under the Lantmännen Cerealia umbrella.
