Peak Performance Frost Down Jacket

Peak Performance is a premium Swedish outdoor and sports fashion brand founded in 1986 in the mountain village of Åre by three passionate skiers: Stefan Engström, Peter Blom, and Christer Mårtensson. Originally created to fill a gap in the market for functional yet stylish skiwear, the brand has since expanded into a global leader in technical apparel and streetwear.

While the brand maintains its design and research headquarters in Stockholm, Sweden, manufacturing is carried out through a global network of specialized suppliers. Production primarily takes place in countries such as China, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Thailand, Turkey, and Romania. The brand emphasizes sustainability and technical performance in its sourcing, often utilizing materials like recycled nylon and responsibly sourced down.

The ownership of Peak Performance has shifted over the decades to facilitate international growth. In 1998, it was acquired by the Danish fashion conglomerate IC Group (formerly IC Companys). In 2018, it was sold to Amer Sports, a Finnish sporting goods company. Today, Peak Performance remains part of the Amer Sports portfolio, which is itself owned by a global investor consortium led by the Chinese sportswear giant Anta Sports.
