Simonds Beer (Simonds Farsons Cisk)

Simonds is a historic brand with roots in the British brewing industry, specifically originating from H & G Simonds Brewery founded in Reading, England, in 1785 by William Blackall Simonds. The brand's presence in Malta began in the 1880s when the brewery started supplying beer to British troops stationed there.

In 1929, the British H & G Simonds merged with the local Maltese firm L. Farrugia & Sons to form Simonds Farsons Limited. This entity later merged with the Malta Export Brewery in 1948 to create the current company, Simonds Farsons Cisk plc. While the original British Simonds brewery eventually merged into Courage & Barclay and is now part of the global brewing giant AB InBev's portfolio, the Maltese branch remains an independent, publicly traded company in Malta. Today, the products are manufactured at the Farsons Brewery in Birkirkara, Malta, where it stands as the nation's leading beverage producer.
