While the brand is quintessentially Italian in origin and identity, its supply chain is highly 'glocal.' For European markets, Segafredo often sources its beet sugar from local agriculture; for instance, many of its bio-sugar sticks are specifically produced and packaged in Austria using organic beet sugar from Austrian farms. In the Netherlands, the brand is managed through Tiktak/Segafredo Zanetti Nederland B.V., a historic Dutch roasting company in Groningen that joined the group to handle local production and distribution.

Ownership of the brand lies with the Massimo Zanetti Beverage Group (MZBG). As of 2024 and moving into 2026, the group has entered a significant new chapter: the private equity fund QuattroR acquired a 50% stake in the company to accelerate global growth and modernization, while the Zanetti family remains deeply involved. This partnership ensures that Segafredo continues to evolve as a modern, sustainable brand while maintaining its authentic Italian roots.
