In early 2022, Montura underwent a significant change in ownership when it was acquired by Herno S.p.A., an Italian luxury outerwear company. This strategic move was supported by Nuo Spa, an investment firm co-owned by Exor (the holding company of the Agnelli family) and the Pao family from Hong Kong. While ownership has transitioned to these larger corporate entities to fuel global expansion, Montura maintains its creative independence and continues to manufacture over 60% of its technical garments in dedicated facilities in Moldova, with other production stages managed in Italy and other specialized regions.
