The HP 35s is a programmable scientific calculator introduced by Hewlett-Packard in 2007 to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the HP-35, the world's first handheld scientific calculator. It was designed by HP in conjunction with Kinpo Electronics of Taiwan and manufactured in mainland China. The calculator is highly regarded for its dual entry modes, supporting both Reverse Polish Notation (RPN) and standard algebraic logic.
While the HP 35s was originally a product of Hewlett-Packard's internal calculator division, the brand's ownership structure has evolved significantly. In 2021, HP Inc. (the successor to the PC and printer business of Hewlett-Packard) transitioned its calculator operations to external licensees. For global markets outside of the Americas, the brand and its production are managed by Moravia Consulting, while Royal Consumer Information Products handles the Americas under a licensing agreement. Despite these changes in management and production licensing, the HP brand remains under the ultimate ownership of HP Inc.
