Sanpellegrino Pompelmo is a premium grapefruit-flavored sparkling beverage part of the iconic 'Sanpellegrino Italian Sparkling Drinks' range. The brand's history dates back to 1899 with the foundation of the Società Anonima delle Terme di San Pellegrino in San Pellegrino Terme, Italy. While the company originally focused on its famous mineral water, the fruit-based carbonated line was pioneered in 1932 by Ezio Granelli with the launch of Aranciata.

The product is primarily manufactured in Italy at the Sanpellegrino S.p.A. production facilities located in San Pellegrino Terme, Lombardy. These drinks are crafted using filtered local spring water and juice concentrates, following traditional Italian recipes.

Ownership of the brand transitioned to the Swiss multinational Nestlé in 1997. As of early 2026, Nestlé has initiated a strategic shift by spinning off its water and premium beverage division into a standalone business and is currently exploring the sale of a significant stake in the unit to private equity investors. Despite these organizational changes, the brand remains a global ambassador of the 'Made in Italy' aesthetic and quality.
