Sanpellegrino is an iconic Italian brand with a heritage dating back to 1899, originating from the town of San Pellegrino Terme in the province of Bergamo. The brand is globally recognized for its S.Pellegrino sparkling natural mineral water, which is sourced from the Italian Alps and undergoes a 30-year natural filtration process through rock. In 1932, the brand expanded into fruit-based carbonated beverages with the creation of Sanpellegrino Aranciata, further establishing its status as a symbol of Italian style and culinary excellence.

The production of Sanpellegrino is deeply rooted in its original location, with its principal bottling plant still situated in San Pellegrino Terme. While the mineral water is bottled at the source, the brand's fruit-based beverages (such as Limonata and Aranciata) utilize local spring water and Italian citrus concentrates. Since 1997, the brand has been a key part of the Nestlé group, specifically under its waters division. In 2025 and early 2026, Nestlé underwent a strategic shift, separating its water and premium beverages into a standalone entity and reportedly seeking external partnerships or stake sales to further accelerate the brand's global growth.
