The Bosch MMR08R2 is a compact and versatile universal food chopper, widely recognized for its distinctive deep red dome and transparent 800ml mixing bowl. It is designed for quick food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, nuts, and herbs, and even whipping cream using its specialized beating disc.
Historically, the brand Bosch originated in Germany, founded by Robert Bosch in 1886. However, the manufacturing of its small domestic appliances, including this specific chopper model, is largely centered at the BSH (Bosch-Siemens Hausgeräte) production plant in Nazarje, Slovenia. This facility has been a primary hub for Bosch's small kitchen tools for over 50 years. Depending on the global region of sale, some components or similar models may also be assembled in other BSH facilities across Poland, Turkey, or China.
Today, the Bosch home appliance brand is managed by BSH Hausgeräte GmbH. While it was once a joint venture with Siemens, it has been 100% owned by the Robert Bosch GmbH group since 2015. The ultimate owner, Robert Bosch GmbH, is headquartered in Gerlingen, Germany, and is uniquely structured as a private company primarily owned by a charitable foundation, the Robert Bosch Stiftung.
