While the Pirkka brand is Finnish, the raw materials for specific products like Rooibos are sourced internationally. Rooibos is a plant native to South Africa, and the tea bags are typically manufactured or packaged by specialized partners within the European Union or South Africa, often under Rainforest Alliance certification to ensure ethical sourcing. The brand itself remains a staple of Finnish household consumption, managed and distributed exclusively by Kesko.
