In 2020, the brand underwent a significant ownership change when the multinational food products corporation Danone acquired a majority stake in Harrogate Water Brands, the original company founded by the Cain family. This acquisition integrated the quintessentially British brand into Danone’s global portfolio of water brands. Today, the product remains a staple of British high-society sporting events, maintaining its reputation for elegance while operating under the umbrella of a French-based global leader in the food and beverage industry.
