Põhjala Öö Imperial Baltic Porter

Põhjala Öö is a flagship Imperial Baltic Porter brewed by Põhjala Brewery, the leading craft brewery in the Baltic states. The name 'Öö' translates to 'The Night' in Estonian, reflecting the beer's deep, dark character.

Founded in Tallinn in 2011 by four Estonian beer enthusiasts—Enn Parel, Peeter Keek, Gren Noormets, and Tiit Paananen—the brewery quickly gained international acclaim for its bold flavors and barrel-aged series. While the initial batches were contract-brewed, the company opened its own facility in Tallinn's Nõmme district in 2014 before moving to a larger, state-of-the-art brewery in the Noblessner area of Tallinn in 2018.

Põhjala remains an independent craft brewery, headquartered and operated in Estonia. It is known for its focus on porters and its 'Forest Series,' which utilizes foraged local ingredients to create uniquely Estonian flavor profiles.
