Save The Duck is a contemporary fashion brand founded in Milan, Italy, in 2012 by Nicolas Bargi. The brand was established with a clear mission to create high-performance outerwear that is 100% animal-free and cruelty-free, replacing traditional down feathers with their patented Plumtech® technology. This synthetic insulation mimics the softness and warmth of natural down while remaining hypoallergenic and breathable.

While the brand's creative direction and headquarters remain in Italy, the majority of its manufacturing takes place in China. The company has publicly stated its preference for Chinese production due to the region's significant investments in sustainable textile technologies and specialized infrastructure for synthetic materials. Save The Duck was the first fashion company in Italy to achieve B Corp certification, reflecting its commitment to social and environmental standards.

In 2022, the ownership structure evolved significantly when private equity firm Progressio SGR sold its majority stake. Currently, the brand is primarily owned by Reinold Geiger and André Hoffmann (executives of L'Occitane) through their investment vehicles, Anatra Investments Ltd and Société d'Investissements Cime S.A. The founder, Nicolas Bargi, continues to hold a 20% stake and remains at the helm of the company as CEO, guiding its global expansion into markets like North America and Asia.
