The product is manufactured in Italy at the company's advanced production facilities in Argenta (Ferrara), which include dedicated lines for organic and gluten-free varieties. The manufacturing process is designed to replicate the traditional hand movements of mixing semolina and water, ensuring an authentic texture and quality.

Ownership of the brand has transitioned through strategic agro-industrial groups and private equity. While it was part of the BF S.p.A. group (Bonifiche Ferraresi) starting in 2022, recent developments in late 2025 saw the acquisition of a majority stake by the Italian private equity firms PM&Partners and Armònia SGR. This move is aimed at further consolidating Bia's leadership in European markets and expanding its reach globally.
