VitaSnella natural mineral water

VitaSnella is a prominent Italian mineral water brand known for its low sodium content and marketing focused on well-being and detoxification. The water is sourced from the Vitas spring located in Darfo Boario Terme, within the Valcamonica region of the Italian Alps. It is bottled locally at the Boario plant in the province of Brescia.

The brand has a complex ownership history involving major multinational corporations. Originally developed and launched in Italy by the French group Danone, the mineral water business was eventually sold to Ferrarelle S.p.A. in 2012 after a period of licensing. Interestingly, the 'VitaSnella' name is shared across different categories with different owners: while Ferrarelle owns the water and beverage products, the dairy category (yogurts and cheeses) remains with Danone, and the snacks/biscuits category was acquired by Mondelez International.
