Sunpride Cavendish bananas

Sunpride is a leading fruit brand in Indonesia, primarily known for its high-quality Cavendish bananas. The brand was established in 1995 by PT Sewu Segar Nusantara (SSN) to distribute and market fresh fruit domestically and internationally.

The bananas are grown on extensive plantations in Indonesia, particularly in Lampung (Sumatra) and Blitar (East Java), through its affiliate PT Nusantara Tropical Farm. The brand is part of Great Giant Foods (GGF), which is the corporate agricultural arm of the Gunung Sewu Group, a major Indonesian conglomerate. While the brand originated as a joint venture with Fresh Del Monte Produce Inc., the Gunung Sewu Group eventually took full ownership, making it a proud Indonesian local brand that competes globally.
