Frobishers is a premium British beverage brand with a heritage dating back to 1969 when founder Mike Dowdeswell began selling fresh apple juice from the boot of his car at The Anchor Inn in Gloucestershire. The brand name was inspired by a London telephone exchange from the BT directory, chosen for its prestigious and fancy ring. Over the decades, the range expanded to include various fruit juices, sparkling pressés, and botanical fusions, becoming a staple in high-end UK pubs, bars, and hotels.

While the company sources high-quality fruit globally—such as oranges from Spain and Brazil—the final products are manufactured and bottled in the United Kingdom. The brand emphasizes sustainability and local partnerships, utilizing contract packers based in Devon to maintain a lower carbon footprint. Frobishers is also a certified B Corp, reflecting its commitment to social and environmental standards.

Ownership of the brand has transitioned through several stages. In 1999, it became a limited company, and in 2009, it was acquired by Cobell Ltd (which later became part of Symrise Ltd). Today, the brand is operated by Frobishers Juices (Holdings) Limited, based in Exeter, Devon. The current ultimate ownership lies with this independent UK-based holding company, led by a dedicated management team that continues to focus on the premium on-trade and direct-to-consumer markets.
