PreSonus Audio Equipment

PreSonus is a prominent American manufacturer of professional audio hardware and digital audio workstation (DAW) software. Founded in 1995 by Jim Odom and Brian Smith in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, the brand established itself by creating affordable yet high-quality audio tools for musicians and engineers. Its product portfolio includes the popular Studio One software, Eris studio monitors, and the AudioBox and Quantum series of audio interfaces.

In November 2021, PreSonus was acquired by the Fender Musical Instruments Corporation (FMIC). This acquisition was aimed at integrating PreSonus's software and hardware capabilities into Fender's wider ecosystem to provide a seamless end-to-end experience for music creators. While the company maintains its research and development facilities in Louisiana and Hamburg, Germany, its physical hardware manufacturing is primarily conducted through specialized overseas facilities in countries such as China, while software development remains centered in the United States, Germany, and Ireland.
