Astor margarine

Astor is a well-established brand of margarine and vegetable oils originally founded in Colombia. It is part of the portfolio of Gradesa S.A. (Grasas y Derivados S.A.), a company that began its history in the 1960s and specializes in the processing of African palm oil. The brand is highly recognized in the professional food service and bakery sectors for its high-performance fats.

While its heart and main production facilities are located in Ciénaga, Magdalena (Colombia), Astor has expanded its reach through international trade agreements and specialized distribution networks. In Europe, and specifically in the Spanish market, the brand is distributed by major food groups such as Grupo TGT, which caters to the HORECA channel (Hotel, Restaurant, and Cafe) with individual portions like the one shown in the image. This ensures that while the brand's heritage is Colombian, the product is widely available for commercial use across multiple regions.
