Maina is an iconic Italian brand synonymous with traditional festive sweets, particularly Panettone and Pandoro. Founded in 1964 in Turin by the Di Gennaro family, the company began as a small pastry shop. Over the decades, it evolved into a major industrial leader while maintaining its commitment to artisanal quality, famously using the same 'Mother Yeast' since its inception.
Today, all Maina products are manufactured in their state-of-the-art facility in Fossano, Italy. The production process is celebrated for its 'slow' philosophy, taking over 60 hours to create a single cake to ensure natural leavening and superior texture. Unlike many other major food brands that have been acquired by global conglomerates, Maina remains a family-owned business, managed by the second generation of the Di Gennaro and Brandani families. Their products are exported to nearly 50 countries, representing the high standards of the 'Made in Italy' label worldwide.
