MS Tabacco Trinciato

MS (short for Messis Summa, Latin for 'best harvest') is an iconic Italian tobacco brand introduced in 1969 by the State Monopoly. It quickly became a national symbol, dominating the Italian market throughout the 1970s and 1980s. Originally created by Ente Tabacchi Italiani (ETI) and owned by the Italian state, the brand was acquired by British American Tobacco (BAT) in 2004 when ETI was privatized.

While the brand is deeply rooted in Italian heritage and its design often features Italian motifs, manufacturing was largely moved from the historic Lecce plant to Romania in 2011 as part of global supply chain optimization. Today, MS products, including this fine-cut rolling tobacco, are managed by BAT's Italian subsidiary and sold primarily in the Mediterranean region.
