Scheppach is a well-established German brand with a history dating back to 1927. Founded by Josef Scheppach in Niederraunau, Germany, the company initially focused on agricultural machinery and firewood saws. Over the decades, it evolved into a specialist for woodworking machinery and later expanded into a broad range of power tools, construction equipment, and gardening machinery.

Today, Scheppach operates as a global player in the DIY and professional tool markets. While the company maintains its research, development, and administrative headquarters in Ichenhausen, Germany, the majority of its manufacturing has shifted to China to maintain competitive pricing. However, some specialized production and quality control processes still occur at their German facilities.

The brand underwent a significant ownership change in 1997 when it was acquired by Ernst Pfaff, who remains the managing shareholder. Under his leadership, the company transformed into a sales and service-oriented group, significantly expanding its international presence and product portfolio through subsidiaries like Woodster GmbH.
