Hoka athletic footwear

Hoka (formerly Hoka One One) is a globally recognized performance footwear brand known for its 'maximalist' design featuring oversized midsoles. The brand was founded in 2009 in Annecy, France, by Nicolas Mermoud and Jean-Luc Diard, both former employees of Salomon. Their goal was to create a shoe that facilitated faster downhill running with superior cushioning, a design philosophy inspired by powder skis and mountain bike tires.

In 2013, the brand was acquired by the American company Deckers Brands (Deckers Outdoor Corporation). Following the acquisition, the brand's headquarters moved to Goleta, California. Today, Hoka is a multi-billion dollar brand within the Deckers portfolio, which also includes UGG and Teva.

While the brand has French origins and American corporate ownership, its manufacturing is primarily outsourced to major production hubs in Asia. The majority of Hoka products are manufactured in China and Vietnam, with additional production facilities located in Indonesia, Cambodia, and the Dominican Republic. This diverse supply chain allows the brand to maintain high-tech production standards and meet global demand.
