Arnott's biscuits

Arnott's is an iconic Australian brand with a legacy dating back to 1865 when Scottish immigrant William Arnott opened his first bakery in Newcastle, New South Wales. Over the decades, it grew to become Australia's largest biscuit producer, famous for staples like Tim Tams, Shapes, Jatz, and Iced VoVos. The brand remained in the Arnott family for over a century until it became a public company in 1970.

In 1997, the company transitioned to international ownership when it was fully acquired by the American food giant Campbell Soup Company. This tenure lasted until 2019, when Campbell's sold the Arnott’s Group to the American global private equity firm Kohlberg Kravis Roberts (KKR). Under KKR, the brand continues to operate as an independent business unit.

While the brand has changed hands internationally, its manufacturing heart remains largely in Australia. The company operates major production facilities in Huntingwood (Sydney), Marleston (Adelaide), and Virginia (Brisbane), which produce approximately 99% of the products sold in the Australian market. Additionally, the group maintains manufacturing operations in New Zealand, Indonesia, and Malaysia to serve the broader Asia-Pacific region.
