Established in 2005 through a strategic cooperation between the Austrian company Rascom Computerdistribution Ges.m.b.H. and the Taiwanese cooling specialist Kolink International Corporation, the brand combines European engineering with Asian manufacturing expertise.

While the research, design, and development of Noctua's signature products—such as the iconic brown and tan fans—take place in Austria, the physical production is primarily centered in Taiwan and China. This allows the brand to maintain high precision and quality control standards while scaling for global distribution. Over the years, Noctua has maintained its independence from major hardware conglomerates, continuing to operate under the original partnership that founded it.
