Maille is a historic French brand founded in 1747 by Antoine-Claude Maille, who became the official vinegar maker and distiller to the French royal court. The brand is famous for its high-quality Dijon mustards and traditional manufacturing processes. Although it started as a family business in Marseille and later Paris, it has grown into a global culinary symbol.

Today, Maille is owned by Unilever, a British multinational consumer goods company. While the brand retains its French heritage and premium positioning, production is primarily centered in France to maintain the authentic Dijon standards.
