Rex Electrolux Intuition Washing Machine

Rex is a historic Italian brand of household appliances, founded in 1916 by Antonio Zanussi in Pordenone, Italy. Originally part of the Zanussi Group, it became one of Italy's most famous appliance brands. In 1984, the Swedish multinational Electrolux acquired the Zanussi Group, and for many years, products were marketed under the dual 'Rex-Electrolux' brand name in the Italian market.

Today, the brand is fully integrated into the Electrolux portfolio. While Electrolux has a global manufacturing network, many Rex-branded washing machines were historically manufactured in Italian factories, particularly in the Porcia plant. Currently, Electrolux manages the brand from its headquarters in Sweden, overseeing a global supply chain where components and final assembly may occur in various European facilities.
