Philips Hue smart lighting system

Philips Hue is a world-renowned line of smart LED lighting solutions that revolutionized home automation upon its release. Originally developed within the Philips Lighting division, the brand offers a wide range of connected bulbs, light strips, and accessories that can be controlled via apps, voice commands, or smart home ecosystems.

Starting in 2016, the lighting division was spun off into its own entity called Philips Lighting, which later rebranded to Signify. While the products continue to carry the 'Philips' brand name under a long-term licensing agreement, the intellectual property and manufacturing operations are managed by Signify. Production is distributed globally, with major facilities located in China for electronics and components, as well as European and North American sites for regional distribution.
