Iittala Origo Mug

The Origo series is a masterpiece of Nordic design, originally created by designer Alfredo Häberli in 1999 for the Finnish brand Iittala. Initially designed with a focus on color and rhythm, the Origo pattern has become a timeless staple in modern kitchenware, recognized for its vibrant multi-colored stripes and practical, stackable form.

Iittala is a legendary Finnish design house founded in 1881 as a glass factory. Over the decades, it evolved into a symbol of Scandinavian minimalism and functionalism. Today, the brand is part of the Fiskars Group, a large Finnish conglomerate. While the brand is rooted in Finland, much of the ceramic production for the Origo collection has been transitioned to specialized manufacturing facilities in Thailand to balance production scale with high quality standards.
