Pony Malta malt beverage

Pony Malta is a highly popular non-alcoholic malt beverage that originated in Colombia. It was first developed in 1953 by Bavaria S.A., a legendary brewery founded in Bogotá. The drink was originally designed as a nutritional supplement for children and young athletes, marketed for its high content of vitamins and natural energy derived from barley malt.

Today, Pony Malta is a staple brand in South America and has expanded its presence globally. Since 2016, following the massive acquisition of SABMiller, the brand has been under the ultimate ownership of AB InBev. Manufacturing occurs primarily in Colombia through the Bavaria S.A. facilities, but it is also produced or distributed via regional subsidiaries across Latin America and Spain to meet the demand of the diaspora.
