Sanitarium Weet-Bix cereal

Weet-Bix is an iconic Australian breakfast cereal consisting of whole-grain wheat biscuits. It was originally developed by Bennison Osborne in Sydney, Australia, in the mid-1920s. Following the success of the product, Osborne sold the brand to Sanitarium in 1928, which has since become synonymous with the product in Australia and New Zealand.

Today, Weet-Bix is manufactured primarily in Australia (with facilities in Berkeley Vale, NSW) and New Zealand. It remains the most popular breakfast cereal in Australia. The brand is owned by the Sanitarium Health and Wellbeing Company, which is wholly owned by the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Because the company is owned by a religious organization, its profits are utilized for charitable and community health initiatives rather than corporate dividends.
