Frylight is a well-known British brand of cooking oil spray, originally launched in the early 1990s as a low-calorie alternative to traditional oils and fats. The product is designed to dispense a precise amount of oil, typically containing only one calorie per spray, making it a staple in health-conscious kitchens across the UK.

The brand was originally developed by MH Foods, based in Erith, Kent. Over the years, the brand has grown significantly, offering various versions including sunflower, rapeseed, olive, and buttery flavors. In 2021, the brand underwent a significant ownership change when Saputo Dairy UK, a subsidiary of the Canadian dairy giant Saputo Inc., sold its MH Foods business to the yellow fats specialist, Upfield.

Today, Frylight is owned by Upfield, a global leader in plant-based nutrition backed by the private equity firm KKR. Production continues to be rooted in the United Kingdom, specifically at the established manufacturing site in Erith, ensuring the brand maintains its British heritage while benefiting from Upfield's international distribution and marketing expertise.
