Tate & Lyle Sugars

Tate & Lyle is a historic British brand specializing in sweeteners and sugar products. The brand originated from the merger of two rival sugar refiners, Henry Tate & Sons and Abram Lyle & Sons, in 1921. While the brand carries the names of its founding families, the sugar refining business was separated from the broader industrial ingredients company (now known as Tate & Lyle PLC) over a decade ago.

Today, the Tate & Lyle sugar brand is owned and operated by American Sugar Refining, Inc. (ASR Group). Despite the change in ownership, the brand remains an iconic staple in the United Kingdom, continues to be produced at the historic Thames Refinery in London, and holds a Royal Warrant. It remains one of the world's most recognized sugar brands, known for its diverse range of granulated, icing, and specialty sugars.
