AUARA natural mineral water

AUARA is a social enterprise founded in Spain in 2016 by Antonio Espinosa de los Monteros, Pablo Urbano, and Luis de Sande. It was the first social enterprise in Spain to receive the Social Enterprise Mark. The company's unique business model allocates 100% of its dividends to developing clean water projects in underdeveloped countries. In 2022, the brand was acquired by Corporación Hijos de Rivera (the parent company of Estrella Galicia), which has significantly expanded its distribution while maintaining its social mission.

Today, AUARA water is primarily sourced and bottled in Leon, Spain (Carrizal spring). The packaging is notable for being made from 100% recycled plastic (R-PET). While ownership has transitioned to a large beverage group, the brand continues to operate with its social-first identity, funding sanitation and water infrastructure projects globally through its commercial sales.
