Cailler is the oldest Swiss chocolate brand still in existence, founded in 1819 by François-Louis Cailler in Vevey, Switzerland. The brand is renowned for having invented the process for manufacturing milk chocolate in condensed form. Since its foundation over two centuries ago, the majority of its production has remained centered in the Maison Cailler at Broc, in the Gruyère region of Switzerland, using milk from local Alpine pastures.

In 1929, the company was acquired by Nestlé, which continues to be the ultimate owner. Despite being a global brand under a multinational umbrella, Cailler maintains a premium identity closely linked to its Swiss heritage and high-quality local ingredients. Nestlé continues to oversee the production and global distribution from its headquarters in Vevey, Switzerland.
