Lemocin is a well-established brand of medicated throat lozenges originally developed by Novartis in Switzerland. It is specifically formulated to combat sore throats and mouth infections using a combination of active ingredients including Tyrothricin, Cetrimonium bromide, and Lidocaine.
In 2020, as part of a larger asset swap and portfolio adjustment, the STADA Group acquired Lemocin along with other consumer health brands from GSK (which had previously integrated the Novartis consumer health business). Today, Lemocin is primarily manufactured and distributed by STADA, a leading international pharmaceutical company based in Bad Vilbel, Germany. The brand remains a staple in German pharmacies for local antiseptic and anesthetic treatment of the throat.
