Mistol dishwashing detergent

Mistol is an iconic Spanish brand with a long history in the household cleaning sector, particularly famous for its dishwashing liquids. Founded in 1953, it gained fame as the first dishwashing detergent in Spain to be sold in glass bottles rather than in bulk, revolutionizing kitchen hygiene for Spanish families.

For over 50 years, the brand was part of the portfolio of the German multinational Henkel, which acquired it in 1969 and maintained it as a leading brand exclusively within the Spanish market. However, in 2020, as part of a strategic portfolio optimization, Henkel sold the Mistol brand to the Valencian company Químicas ORO.

Today, Mistol is part of ORO Brands, which is owned by the French group Altaïr. While the brand remains deeply rooted in its Spanish heritage, its manufacturing is primarily centered in Spain, specifically in the Valencia region, where Químicas ORO operates its main production facilities.
