Naya Natural Spring Water is a Canadian brand founded in 1986 in Mirabel, Quebec. The company's name is inspired by the Naiads, the water nymphs of Greek mythology who guarded fresh water sources. The water is drawn from a natural aquifer deep beneath the Laurentian Mountains and is bottled directly at the source in Mirabel to maintain its purity and natural mineral balance.
Over the years, the brand has seen various ownership changes, including a period under the French multinational Groupe Danone and the American private equity firm L Catterton. In March 2021, Naya returned to 100% Quebec-based ownership when it was acquired by a partnership consisting of Champlain Financial Corporation and GefCo, both Canadian investment firms.
The brand is well-known for its commitment to environmental sustainability, being one of the first in the industry to introduce bottles made from 100% recycled plastic (rPET). Today, it remains a prominent local brand in Quebec, with operations primarily centered in Mirabel and a distribution network spanning across Canada.
