Aberlour Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Aberlour is a renowned single malt Scotch whisky distillery located in Aberlour, Strathspey, Scotland. Founded in 1879 by James Fleming, the distillery is situated at the junction of the Rivers Lour and Spey. The whisky is celebrated for its rich, fruity, and spicy character, often achieved through maturing in a combination of Oloroso sherry butts and American oak barrels.

Historically, the distillery has undergone various ownership changes, eventually becoming a cornerstone of Chivas Brothers. Today, Aberlour is owned by the French spirits giant Pernod Ricard. The production process remains deeply rooted in Scottish tradition, with all distilling and bottling taking place in Scotland to maintain its authentic Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) status.
