Felix Tomato Ketchup Original

Felix Tomato Ketchup is one of Sweden's most iconic food products. The brand originated in 1939 when Herbert Felix, a refugee from Austria, started a pickling business in Eslöv, Sweden. Today, the ketchup is still primarily manufactured in the Fågelmara factory in Blekinge, using sun-ripened tomatoes.

While deeply rooted in Swedish culture, the brand is currently owned by Orkla, a Norwegian industrial conglomerate. Orkla acquired the brand as part of its strategy to dominate the Nordic consumer goods market. The production remains localized in Sweden to maintain its 'Tillagad i Sverige' (Prepared in Sweden) status, which is a key selling point for local consumers.
